Although GALLLERY twenty-four has operated as a quasi-cooperative gallery for the past 5 years plans are underway to begin a new form of representation for up to 10 artists in each its Berlin and New York galleries. The gallery has always, and will always, focus on assisting autodidactic and undiscovered artists with their exhibition activities. For this reason the gallery has chosen to develop a fair balance between its operations as a co-operative gallery and those more aligned to the operations of a commercial gallery. These two diverse programs will enable us to more adequately assist emerging artists. On the collective side, the gallery offers its spaces in Berlin, Paris and New York to artists who wish to co-ordinate an exhibition. The gallery assists the artists through the support of its established infrastructure. There is a nominal fee for this service to be paid by the artist. These fees ensure that GALLERY twenty-four is able to maintain its broad and varied international programming. Artists can freely choose the space and dates he/she wishes to exhibit and the gallery provides assistance with the daily operational side of the exhibition through preparing press releases, electronic invitations, maintaining the gallery opening times, ect. In return, the artist receives 100% of all sales from his/her works of art. For current exhibition fees and available exhibition dates please refer to the appropriate link at the call for artist section of this website. On the commercially adapted side of the program the gallery has begun to offer quasi-permanent representation for up to 10 artists in either Berlin or New York. The representation period is one year, but can be renewed at the end of each period. During this period the artists' works are sent to Berlin or New York and shall remain available for client viewing throughout the year. To assist in this task the gallery will archive pertinent biographical and press related information about the artist as well as prepare a catalog of the artists’ featured body of works to be on display throughout the year in the gallery. The gallery actively works to procure the necessary client base to ensure that the financial goals of both the artist and gallery are met. Each of the ten "permanent" artists has a minimum of two 2-week exhibitions in the gallery during the year for a total of 4 weeks. The artist is free to send new works to the gallery for either of these two shows. Works can then either remain as part of the artist's ongoing inventory of works or be sent back to the artist after these exhibitions. The artist also has the ability to change his/her inventory of works at any time, within the prescribed allotment of storage capacity allocated to the artist in his/her agreement and subject to the discretion of the gallery. Subsequently, works from these ten artists will be used to fill any vacancies in our regular exhibition schedule which arise during the representation period. For this service there is an annual fee which can either be paid in one lump sum or in 3 quarterly, or 10 monthly installments. A scaled commission rate applies to all sales made during the representation period. For all aggregate sales up to 4,999.00 the artist receives 100% of the proceeds, for aggregate sales of 5,000.00 - 9,999.00 the artist receives 75% of the proceeds and for aggregate sales over 10,000.00 the artist receives 65% of the proceeds. The annual fee for Berlin is 3,850.00 and in New York the annual fee is 4,750.00. Dual representation in both cities is available for an annual fee of 7,500.00.
