In this workshop, participants / artists will design and create Artworks in various techniques and materials based on image and text.

We will be making Transfers, applying Gold Leaf, using Waxes, Bronze powders, Artist Colours and Pigments on Canvas, Paper, Wood, Acrylics and Glass.

After preparing sheets of paper from vegetables and fruits we will incorporate these sheets in 2- and 3 dimensional Artworks.

Making layers on Glass, incorporate Paper and Text or how to use a Mould are some of the items / subjects we will be working with.

Examples of these items will be presented during the workshop.

Inez Fritschy from the Netherlands is known in particular for her work with paper and image, and the way she prepares paper in her desired colours and incorporates them at various stages in her 2- and 3 dimensional Artworks. The overlapping of paper and photographic impressions in combination with, gold-leaf, bronze powders, metal foil, Indian ink, artist colours and handwritten text create a special 3-dimensional effect in her Art objects. She exhibits frequently and has taken on work on large commissions for the last 15 years. The Installation ’Sources of Inspiration’ with details and impressions of her journeys to Japan, Hong Kong and the USA, has been exhibited in various Museums and Galleries in Europe and the USA.

Workshop Details:

• A two week workshop
• Dates: April 11 - 24, 2007
• A two-week group exhibition will be hosted by GALLERY twenty-four at the end of the workshop
• Accommodations including Breakfast
• 45.00 application fee will be applied to participation fee
• Maximum participants: 10

Participation Fee including accomodations & materials: €475.00

Participation Fee & Materials without accomodations: €225.00

Every participant gets an A4 packet with interesting materials such as: Gold Leaf, Metal Leaf, special brush, Vegetable Papyrus, Bronze Powders, Handmade paper, Mixtion etc.
